If this is a problem with your handle, it is likely that the spring in your internal cassette has worn away and needs to be replaced. The best way to check is by removing the handle and then operating the lever. If the handles droop it means that their spring strength has diminished. It is important to install strong-duty locks and latches in the doors you replace to stop this from happening.
The majority of replacement handles have spring cassettes that are located in the backplate that holds the lever. They work with tubular or multi-point latch to ensure the door handles return to their horizontal position following use. This is a crucial feature because it is difficult to operate handles that are not spring-loaded if they are not returning to their optimal position.

It is an expense in addition to the new upvc handles, and is only required if your double-glazed door has older multi-point locks. These cylinders are part of the majority of upvc handle sets available as they are the most commonly used size. However, it is always a good idea to have spare cylinders on hand in case of loss or breakage. This will save you the time and cost of ordering an entire replacement set of handles in the future. This can happen when excessive force is applied when using the door handles, especially by elderly or children.
